Central Okanagan Public Schools is the 5th largest school district in the province of British Columbia and is known to be a leader in education. Since its inception in 2005, the Central Okanagan International Student Program has steadily grown and currently hosts approximately 400 international students every year. We welcome students from approximately 30 different countries around the world who are interested in immersing themselves in the language, culture, and recreational activities of the Okanagan Valley in beautiful British Columbia. Our program offers the opportunity for international students to be academically successful, improve their English language skills, and create positive lifelong memories of their Canadian study abroad experience.
The Central Okanagan Public Schools International Student Program is accredited by the British Columbia Ministry of Education and Child Care.
The district is an EduCanada brand-authorized institution. Canadian institutions that are brand authorized consistently provide high-quality education programs, deal with international students in accordance with recognized codes of practice, and are subject to quality assurance mechanisms that monitor adherence to set standards.
The Central Okanagan Public Schools is a member of the Canadian Association of Public Schools - International, the International Public Schools Education Association, and the British Columbia Council for International Education.
