Homestay Information

The Central Okanagan International Education Homestay Department was established to promote and support the best possible homestay experience for middle and secondary international students attending schools in our district. Every year, approximately 300 host families open their homes to international students.

Our department strives to place students with host families who will provide a safe, nurturing home for their study abroad experience, to offer ongoing support to students and host families in regards to all aspects of life in Canada, and to ensure that both host families and students have a rewarding experience while learning about other cultures.

Our program takes great care to treat all students and host families as unique, and to offer support that best suits the needs of both parties.  We hope that our program will help to create relationships between host families and students that will last a lifetime.
