We offer exceptional education in a beautiful community with exciting educational, recreational and cultural activities. There are optional sightseeing trips to the Rocky Mountains, Edmonton, Victoria and Vancouver. There are district approved home stay families who provide safe and nurturing home stay experiences. We also have full time home stay coordinators and offer 24/7 emergency phone support for students to help them feel supported and safe. There are many other opportunities available to our students through our partnerships with Okanagan College and the University of British Columbia.

LEARN
Central Okanagan Public Schools welcome international students from around the world into our high quality educational programs. We offer short-term and long term opportunities for international students at the elementary, middle and high school levels. International students are invited to study alongside Canadian students in one of our 5 high schools, 7 middle schools or 31 elementary schools for short-term placements ranging from three months to one year.

EXPERIENCE
We invite students to participate in educational, recreational, cultural, and themed events throughout the year. Monthly activities are included in our program costs. Activities are designed for students to experience a variety of local and Canadian activities. Students can also choose optional trips to Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary and the Rocky Mountains throughout the year.

LIVE
Students can choose to live with district -approved and supported homestay families. Our families provide safe, nurturing homes, and nutritious meals, and welcome the students as a part of their family. Our four homestay coordinators meet with students at the schools weekly and offer on-going support to families and students including a 24 hour emergency phone number.
